CUs offer affordable computer packages to members
This is a exciting development for both Irish Credit Unions and their members. The HCI programme endorsed by the Government offers many credit union members their first opportunity to own a home computer and become technologically connected to the wider world, improving ICT skills and gaining access to all the internet has to offer.
Credit union members can select from a range of computers and laptops to suit your needs at specially-reduced prices and get a credit union low interest loan to pay for it. Your new computer/laptop will be delivered directly to your home free of charge with software already pre-loaded, 3 year internet security suite and a 1 year manufacturers warranty – it couldn’t be easier.
Another CU first in Ireland
The programme is the first of its kind in Ireland and will enable people to afford, better understand and benefit from the latest technology in personal computing.
Nearly 4 homes in 10 in Ireland don't have computers which means that many people are in danger of being excluded from the knowledge society. This initiative makes it easier for people to acquire computers suited to their needs.
