House2Home: The Complete Guide to Renovating or Redecorating

The three main concerns with a home renovation project are; price, deadlines and quality assurance, and choosing the right contractor for your project will help.

The decision on who to employ can be made alongside your architect, and it is always advisable to recruit a Quantity Surveyor, who can assist with cost control. Don’t be fooled by a contractor who can meet the minimum requirements –  professionals go over and above to ensure detailed prices, adherence to brief and regular progress reports.

To help you along, we’ve created a home improvement contractor checklist for you to download.

Even if you are sourcing and working with builders directly, this checklist could be a great starting point to make sure he/she is the right person for the job. You can also read our blog with tips for choosing the right workers for your project.
