Gurranabraher Credit Union - Local support, national glory.

One super example of where the support of a credit union can make a difference is the three-year sponsorship by Gurranabraher Credit Union of the Brunel Ladies Basketball Team. As part of the sponsorship, the team’s home venue was renamed Gurranabraher Credit Union Arena. In 2025, Brunell won the National Cup for the first time, resulting in a major boost for the team and the sport. In January 2026, the team shot to victory yet again lifting the Ken Clarke U20 Women’s National Cup, following a 59-46 win over Templeogue.

The 3 year sponsorship by Gurranabraher Credit Union will cover the club's Super League, Under 20 and 18 teams. The club has been one of the most successful at underage level in the country.
