Castle Arch Pottery
Castle-Arch-Pottery-5.jpg

Castle Arch Pottery was founded in 1992 in the stables and out buildings that make up The Castle Yard under the gaze of Kilkenny Castle. Located in one of these beautiful preserved buildings is the pottery. The stables had been the home to the Kilkenny Design Workshops which helped to create best practice in craft and design. Castle Arch Pottery stand on the shoulders of Kilkenny Design Workshops and are constantly inspired by their design aesthetic.

The pottery reflects Irelands rich tradition of storytelling. Those moments that are handed down around the fireplace. Pottery has always played its part by enriching the experience of family meals or a pot of tea shared with a good friend.

They make contemporary heirlooms that last a lifetime of get togethers and their hope is that you pass these on so they become part of your story.

Castle Arch pottery can be found on InstagramFacebook and their website is https://www.castlearchpottery.ie

E Movement

At E Movement, they have a simple goal: to make it easy and fun for people to get around. They supply electric transportation devices (Segways, E-bikes & E-Scooters) to the Irish market as well as running Segway experiences to Secondary Schools with our “Segways for Schools” Programme.

E Movement co-founder Evan Kelly’s move into the electric transportation sector is a remarkable and inspirational story. In 2007, whilst on holiday in Australia, he had a serious accident which left him paralysed. He spent over a year recovering in hospitals in Australia and Ireland and now uses a Segway daily to get around.

Evan was a keen sportsman, and in 2018 he used his Segway to help coach his local minor hurling team to its first success in many years. The Segway enabled him to be on the pitch and move around during training, and is a great example of how the technology can be used to improve lives.
