'There are simple things that you can do to your house that really life it that won’t the bank,' says Roisin.

1. Paint the Door

'The first thing and the thing I’m always saying to people is paint that front door of your house or your windows, they’re not break the bank kind of budget stuff, but they instantly give a lift, when you’re coming home’ in the evening, it’s a bit of love you can give to your house with a lot of expense.'

2. Lampshades

'The other thing is – change the lampshades – you’ve put them up when you’ve moved in and you’re perhaps forgot to look at them after 20 years, it just happens and it’s not a big change either.'

3.  Carpets

'Then, the other thing would be, the carpets – lift them, and paint the floor, instant lift, budget driven but instantly trendy, and super cool for the next ten years.'
