Administrator Assistant / Member Services Officer

Tallaght & District Credit Union Limited are recruiting for a Back Office Admin Assistant /Member Services Officer with relevant experience and qualifications based at the TDCU offices in Tallaght.

Position Summary:

The successful candidate will work as part of a professional and supportive team and reporting to the Operations Manager (or other designated member of the management team).

The responsibility of this role is varied and include all those activities directly relating to delivering high-quality, effective services to members of the credit union and administrative/financial support to the management team.  

The effective delivery of services to members is as a result of ongoing change that is evolving on an ongoing basis. In response to this change, the demands and expectations of TDCU, flexibility is a key component of the role. 

The hours and days of work are: 31 hours across Mon, Tues, (Wed Closed), Thur and Fri of each week. The remuneration package on offer will reflect the importance of the role and the relevant experience of the successful candidate.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities: 

  • Provide an efficient, courteous, professional and confidential service to the TDCU

  • Accountable for carrying out a range of administrative, financial and operational tasks

  • Communicate efficiently and courteously with members and non-members via telephone, the credit union website /email and where applicable face to face interaction

  • Provide effective and efficient back office support and general financial administrative duties in accordance with TDCU’s policies and procedures within authorised limits that contribute to the effective running of the credit union

Primary Requirement for the Role:

  • Be highly motivated, organised and enjoy working on their own initiative  

  • Have an excellent command of written and verbal English

  • Have an understanding of bookkeeping/financial accounts

  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, accuracy and strive to meet performance standards and goal objectives

  • Possess good IT skills and have a good working knowledge using a variety of software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel etc.

  • Be willing to upskill and undertake training where required.
