Branch/Project Manager

We currently operate 4 branches in Main Street Naas; Monread, Naas; Maynooth and Newbridge. 
Offering a range of ethical financial services, membership is open to anyone living or working in Naas, Maynooth, Newbridge and surrounding areas. Our main services are savings accounts and flexible loans for members.

Life Credit Union are now recruiting for a Full -Time Branch/Project Manager for a 12-month contract. 


The position is Full - Time (37.5 hours p/week) over Tuesday to Saturday.
The successful candidate must be available to work in any branch office; Main St, Naas; Main St, Maynooth; Main St, Newbridge; Monread Centre, Naas; or other such location as may be determined by the credit union within the common bond.

Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, the Branch/Project Manager will:

  • Ensure that all activities and operations are performed in compliance with regulatory requirements, policies, internal controls, and risk management functions.

  • Implement processes, infrastructure, and effective management practices in operations to enable and sustain our anticipated growth and expansion

  • Ensure that objectives and intended outcomes included in the strategic implementation plan are achieved with regards to operations

  • Provide day-to-day leadership and management of internal operations to achieve agreed objectives

  • Effectively manage the roster and schedule for the team based on activities and business levels.

  • Coordinate the daily work and activities of the team.

  • Promote a sense of team spirit and a positive working atmosphere within the team and with all other departments.

  • Responsible for the measurement and effectiveness of all processes in operations

  • Provide timely, accurate and complete reports on the operations of the credit union to the Head of Operations as required. 

  • Contribute to the management, development and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity plans 

  • Manage work and resources to maximize productivity and ensure timely delivery of member services 

  • Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, and conduct annual performance appraisals

  • Delegate authority and responsibility as appropriate.

  • Foster a high-quality service orientation and member centric environment.

  • Ensure the overall service and operations strategy meets the needs of our evolving member base 

  • Liaising with credit union members as required and initial point of contact for member escalation matters

  • Overseeing branch/department tasks and responsibility for completion of these

  • Undertake special projects as directed by the Head of Operations


The ideal candidate will have the following:

  • Previous experience of leading a team 

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in a customer service environment.

  • Experience of managing a cash environment an advantage. 

  • Ability to lead a team effectively. 

  • Previous experience leading/managing projects.

  • Excellent team player with a flexible and dynamic approach to role. 

  • Ability to troubleshoot issues effectively. 

  • Member focused with a friendly and professional manner.

  • Ability to work on own initiative. - 

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • QFA desirable but not essential
