Job Overview:
 
Marketing Research and Customer Insights
 
  • Gain market and customer insights through data driven primary and secondary research that will lead to better segmentation
 
  • Driving the identification and use of customer insights from primary and secondary research, existing customer segmentation, competitive analysis and market trends that support the understanding our target audience needs.
 
 
Marketing Strategy
 
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies aligned with Credit Union Strategy
    • Work cross functionally to develop relevant product and service mix
 
Event and Community Management
 
  • Lead the planning, implementation and reporting on Events that drive new business development, retention, PR
  • Assist the operations and lending team with new product launches and business development with local marketing campaigns
  • Work with external design agencies to produce effective marketing point of sale collateral and supporting documents.
  • Initiate, build and manage relationships with external s such as schools, youth groups, community groups & employers within the common bond, with a view to strengthening our position within the common bond as a pillar community organisation and to grow memberships and loans, in line with our strategic plan.
 
Training Programmes
 

Develop training programmes for the Teams on key marketing fundamentals such as leads generation and referral programs.  

 
Digital Marketing
 
 
  • Developing, Monitoring, and maintaining the digital marketing and social media presence across all relevant platforms
  • Plan and execute digital marketing campaigns
  • Monitor and analyse effectiveness of marketing content
  • Track, analyse and optimize our conversion rate monthly and report these stats back in monthly reporting
  • Develop and manage website content
 
 
 
Key QUALIFICATIONS, Skills and Experience required for the Role         
 
  • A third level Marketing degree and at least three years’ experience in a similar role with a proven track record of achievement
  • Possess excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Possess demonstrable organisational and IT skills to formulate, develop & deliver business
  • Development & communications projects and enhancements within budget.
  • Have experience in all aspects of digital/social media in a workplace context.
  • Have experience in managing websites
  • Have the ability to work to targets and deadlines as part of a committed team; and
  • Have an understanding of the evolving credit union business model and ethos.
  • This is a full-time permanent contract and will involve work outside normal business hours and at weekends when required.   A Clean Driving Licence and access to a car is essential
 
 
Teamwork and Communication:
 
  • Work co-operatively and foster good relationships with the Board of Directors, Committees, Management Team, and Staff
  • Attend and contribute to Management Team meetings, general staff meetings and if necessary, Board meetings
  • Foster good relations between the credit union and key influencers across the Area
 
 
 
 
Other Duties
 
  • Undertake such other reasonable and lawful duties as the CEO, or person acting on his/her behalf may direct from time to time.

REPORTING:
To the Credit Union CEO
  • Report on a weekly basis providing updates of achievements and results
 
To the Promotions Committee
  • Meet with the Promotions Committee on a monthly basis providing activity updates
 
To the Board of Directors
  • Prepare the written monthly Marketing and Business Development Report  
 
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
  •  Quality Business Development with monthly updates to be provided
  •  Results of activity and income generated from Business Development
  •  Lending Book growth monthly
  •  Other income lines growth monthly
  •  Marketing platforms increase activity monthly
  •  The quality of reporting to the CEO, Promotions Committee, and Board of Directors
