CEO-Finance Officer

The Board of Directors of St Declans Ashbourne Credit Union, celebrating 50 years, wish to fill the vacancy of CEO – Finance Officer.
The successful candidate will have responsibility for reporting to the Board of Directors and will be responsible for the day to day operations and performance of the Credit Union.

He/she will be responsible for ensuring the highest standard of service to members and the optimal deployment and utilisation of the Credit Union’s Human, Financial and Physical resources for the benefit of the members.

He/she will also be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts for the board, annual financial accounts, costing and other board research.  Also, financial reports and returns that may be required by the auditor and the Central Bank of Ireland.

The role requires, in the view of the Board, the following:

  • Relevant Professional Qualifications

  • Management Experience

  • Will have significant experience working in Credit Union Management or a similar experience in the financial services or retail industry

A clear understanding of the ethics and operating principles of the Credit Union Sector is desirable.
The position is a Pre-Approved Controlled Function (CUPCF-2) for Fitness and Probity under the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 (Sec 20 & 22) Credit Union Regulations 13
