Head of Operations

Premier Credit Union Ltd., with an asset size close to €175 million and serving nearly 35,000 members, is seeking a Head of Operations based in Thurles. This full-time, permanent role reports directly to the CEO and plays a crucial role in supporting our strategic vision.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee operations management, HR, branch network, marketing & business development, training and facilities.
Support the CEO in overseeing the management function of the credit union and ensure the smooth operation of administrative and member facing functions within the organization, ensuring that it performs and operates to the highest standards.
The Head of Operations is a pivotal role in the Management Team and will contribute to and champion the strategic plan of Premier Credit Union, participating in senior level discussions and in making recommendations regarding major policy decisions.
Lead initiatives in digital transformation, service efficiency, and process improvements.
Drive our ESG and Green Agenda.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Management or role related qualification.
Minimum 5 years in a leadership role within financial services and experience in dealing with regulatory authorities.
Strong skills in people management, leadership, IT and strategic implementation.
Excellent organisation & planning, presentation skills, report writing and attention to detail.
Proven track record in member service, problem solving, and handling escalations.
Alignment to the ethos of the credit union.
