Lending Admin Officer

Salary: Negotiable DOE

South Dublin Credit Union is a member-focused community Credit Union committed to providing excellent financial services to our members. We are currently seeking a Lending Admin Officer to assist with the smooth and effective running of our credit union. We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and team-oriented individual to join our team.
Role Description:
Work as part of the lending team dealing with incoming lending queries and documentation. Maintain a quality service to members and colleagues. Promote the products and services that are relevant to the particular member.
Role Attributes
The ideal candidate will have good interpersonal and communication skills. Lending experience an advantage. Analytical skills and organisational skills are essential. Output and outcome focused. QFA or working towards same an advantage.
Role reports to the Head of Lending.
Key Functions
- Engage with members to discuss their lending query
- Ensure members are attended to in a timely and efficient manner, whether via waiting room or on incoming phone calls.
- Advise members on document requirements
- Assist members with the drawdown of their loans and repayment plans
- Discuss loan cases with other lending officers
- Loan underwriting
- Dealing with all income loan documents in a timely manner
- Maintain strong team ethic and group morale
Other Functions
- Develop a knowledge of our lending products
- Learn to identify urgent applications
- Decide on applications within an agreed approval limit. This limit will be subject to recommendation from the Head of Lending
- Engage with members at every opportunity to ensure we provide an excellent member experience
