Job Title: Manager- Permanent Full Time
Reporting to: Board of Directors 

Ballincollig Credit Union Limited is a progressive community-based credit union based in Ballincollig Town Centre with 20,000 members with €84m in assets.

We wish to appoint a manager who is fully conversant with the ethos and objectives of credit unions and capable of making Ballincollig Credit Union a leading Credit Union within the Credit Union movement. The successful applicant will be an experienced manager in a financial environment which will allow him/her to quickly take ownership of the exciting challenges this post will bring.
 

Key responsibilities will include: 

The Role 
  • The appointed person will provide strategic leadership to the organisation and will work closely with the Management Team and stakeholders to develop and grow Ballincollig Credit Union in accordance with the Strategic Plan
  • Work with Management team to ensure smooth running of the day-to-day operation of the Credit Union, and its employees’ direction, training, and development,
  • Preparation of financial and management reports for the Board, Auditors, regulatory bodies, and others as required.
  • The appointed person will be responsible for all financial and regulatory compliance.
  • Leadership and motivation of staff
  • Implementation of Board policies
  • Promotion of the activities and products / services of the Credit Union to existing and new members 
The Person 
  • Will be dynamic and forward thinking, prepared to develop new ideas and ways of  serving the needs of our members.
  • Will have strong priority-based organisational skills.
  • Will have relevant and strong IT skills.
  • Will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
 

The Requirements 

Essential Requirements: 
  • A qualification to degree level in finance, business studies, accountancy or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years' experience within financial services sector
  • Strong leadership and people management experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge with 3 years’ relevant lending experience
  • Relevant IT experience
  • A clear knowledge and understanding of the ethos and operating principles of Credit Unions
Desirable Requirements
  • 1 to 2 years Mortgage experience.

Remuneration will be highly competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
