Marketing & Community Engagement Officer
(Part-Time)


Location: Bandon Road & Togher Cork  
Hours: 2.5 – 3 days per week 
Contract: Permanent

About Us 
The Lough Credit Union (TLCU) is a member-owned financial co-operative committed to providing accessible, ethical and community-focused financial services. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an enthusiastic and creative Part-Time Marketing Officer to join our team. 

The Role 
Reporting to the CEO, the Marketing & Community Engagement Officer will develop and implement marketing initiatives that increase awareness of the credit union, promote products and services, and strengthen engagement with members and the wider community. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Maximise visibility for TLCU by developing and delivering marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels. 

  • Promote financial education and community engagement programmes. 

  • Develop and implement an agreed annual marketing, communications and events plan with the CEO including all related activities and budgets.

  • Agree KPIs and produce regular evaluation reports against the plan

  • Coordinate community and school events, visits, sponsorships and partnerships. 

  • Execute marketing calendar

  • Create newsletters, advertisements and promotional content. 

  • Support member acquisition and retention initiatives and conduct annual member survey

  • Manage social media platforms and website content. 

  • Monitor campaign performance and provide reports. 

Essential Requirements 

  • Qualification in Marketing, Communications, Business or related discipline. 

  • Minimum 2 years’ marketing or communications experience. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

  • Strong social media and content creation capabilities. 

  • Experience with digital marketing tools and analytics. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Canva or Adobe Creative Suite. 

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects. 

  • Car owner with a full clean drivers licence

Desirable 

  • Experience in financial services, credit unions, banking or not-for-profit organisations. 

  • Knowledge of the Irish credit union sector. 

  • Experience organising community events and stakeholder engagement activities.
