Member Service Officer

We are currently recruiting a Full time Member Service Officer for a minimum of 30 hours per week.
Bruff Credit Union is a community credit union with over 3,000 members. We now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Member Service Officer to join our team.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE:
Reporting to the Manager, this role will have a variety of duties within the credit union. Such duties to include:
- Carrying out transactions & serving members through multiple channels i.e., telephone, online and over the counter.
- Assisting members through the Loan Application & drawdown process.
- Opening new accounts for members and performing account amendments.
- Dealing with member queries on our products and services.
- Operate within the risk & compliance framework of the Credit Union and ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements, policies and procedures.
- Updating member information and ensuring the database is maintained to a high standard.
- Participate in periodic project work in support of wider objectives across the organisation.
- Completing other duties as assigned to include a range of administrative and organisational tasks as delegated by the line manager.
ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES:
- Team worker with strong communication and organisational skills.
- Excellent IT skills.
- Excellent administration skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task in a busy team environment and work off own initiative.
DESIRED COMPETENCIES:
- A relevant Qualification (QFA, APA) or being prepared to study for same, would be an advantage.
- It would be an advantage to have previous Credit Union experience or financial organisation experience.
