Teller/ Member Services Assistant


Contract status: 9 months Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Leave Cover)


The Role;

The position of teller/member services assistant will report to the Manager and will be responsible for carrying out a range of teller and administrative activities that contribute to the effective running of Gort Credit Union. The assistant will be the first point of contact for the members and will provide them with a professional, friendly and efficient service. The working week is 30 hours/5 days a week Tuesday to Saturday.

Key Responsibilities;

  • Process member transactions in an efficient and accurate manner
  • To deal with new member applications and to advise and assist new members in all aspects of the Credit Union’s services and policies
  • Offer a service to members across multiple delivery channels including over the counter, telephone and online
  • Complete other duties as required by Management 

The ideal candidate should have the following;

  • Previous experience in a customer service role
  • Cash handling and balancing experience
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English
  • Good IT Skills including Word & Excel
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work under pressure
  • QFA qualification preferable but not essential
