What do you think is the greatest contribution that credit unions make?
The greatest contribution of credit unions is the ability to treat all members equally and respond positively to the members needs in a non judgemental way.
As an ILCU Board / Supervisory Committee member, what do you hope to achieve during your term?
I hope to play an active part as a supervisor to ensure the ILCU Board operates in a way that can help credit unions continue to grow, thrive and serve their members effectively, as I believe in the power of credit unions to serve communities with integrity, trust and financial strength.
If you were Minister of State for Credit Unions, what one change would you make?
If I was Minister of State for Credit Unions I would look at the role of the Central Bank in the regulation of a not for profit organisation which is based on serving the individual and the community, with a view to simplifying and streamlining legislative requirements for the credit union sector.
