What do you think is the greatest contributions that Credit Unions make
I think that the greatest contribution that Credit Unions make is their support of local communities, providing access to funds for individuals and businesses who might otherwise not have access. In today’s impersonal digital world, Credit Unions offer a human touch within the community, while also being able to compete digitally with other providers.

As an ILCU Board/Supervisory Committee member what do you hope to achieve during your term?
As a Board member, my goal is to support and oversee the leadership team in the achievement of agreed strategy as well as helping to shape future strategy of the ILCU as a recognised and effective representative body of Credit Unions throughout Ireland.

If you were Minister for Credit Unions what one would you make
I am not sure that I can suggest specific Credit Union changes, but I would ask for greater public sector admin efficiency so that we, as taxpayers, can have more confidence in how public money is spent. And, of course, changes to the planning process at all levels so that professional, considered and timely decisions are made that benefit communities in the provision of additional housing.
