ILCU statement of support for Ukrainian Credit Unions

ILCU President Helene McManus today issued a statement in support of Ukraine’s credit unions.

“I want to offer our full support to the Ukrainian credit union movement and their members at this extremely dangerous and worrying time for all Ukrainian people, both in Ireland and across the world. We offer our solidarity to the Ukrainian National Association of Savings and Credit Unions (UNASCU) and the All-Ukrainian Association of Credit Unions by expressing our hope for a swift and peaceful end to the conflict in order that their members and citizens can return to a normal life as soon as possible. Credit unions will play a significant role in providing much needed finance for the people of Ukraine in the wake of the conflict”, said Helene.

The ILCU is collaborating with the ILCU Foundation and WOCCU in providing financial support to mitigate both short and long-term impacts to Ukraine's credit union system, including both employees and members.
