ILCU welcomes mandatory face coverings in credit unions, banks and post offices

Posted on: 26 Jan 2021

The ILCU has welcomed today’s announcement that the wearing of face coverings is now mandatory in banks, credit unions and post offices.

The ILCU along with CUDA and CUMA campaigned on behalf of credit unions for their inclusion on the list of workplaces where the wearing of face coverings is compulsory.

ILCU Head of Communications Paul Bailey said “Credit unions have remained open as an essential service and have ensured the continuity of services to their members. The introduction of this important workplace health and safety measure, offers extra protection to members and staff.”

We encourage all members to adhere to the new regulations and to stay safe.
