Unsolicited Calls offering Personal Loans
Posted on: 21 Aug 2020
The Irish League of Credit Unions has been made aware that some members of the public have received phone calls which purport to be from a representative of the Irish League of Credit Unions. The caller offers the person a personal loan and requests a payment for administration costs.
Members of the public should be aware that the Irish League of Credit Unions is a representative body for credit unions and does NOT provide loans.
If anyone receives a phone call in this regard they should not make any payments and should report the call immediately to An Garda Siochana.
