About the Schools Quiz

The Credit Union Schools Quiz Finale takes place on Thursday 28th April at 12 noon live on Facebook and Youtube. Schools across the island of Ireland are invited to take part in the first ever Virtual Credit Union Schools Quiz, from classrooms across the country. This quiz comprises of 6 rounds of 6 questions. The quiz will last 20 minutes and will be available to watch back, should the time of 12 noon not suit specific classrooms. In the lead up to the finale, we’ve listed 10 important pieces of information if you or your school are taking part in the quiz.

1. What do I need to do to take part?
Tune in to the official Credit Union Facebook page or YouTube Channel at 12 noon on Thursday 28th April, when we’ll kick of proceedings with our Quizmaster, Fergal D’Arcy. In your classrooms, you can choose to take part in groups of 4 or take on the task yourself. You’ll need a pen, some paper and your quiz brain ready to go!

2. Does my teacher correct the questions?
This is up to each individual class entirely. The questions and answers will be given within the broadcast, and so will give teams the option to correct their own answers as they are read out.

3. Is there a national competition?
This year, we have removed an official competition element from the virtual schools quiz. If classrooms across the island wish to battle it out for themselves, they are welcome to do so.

4. What do I win?
As there is no competition element this year, officially there will be no prizes up for grabs. Sure isn’t the fun just taking part!

5. Thursday 28th April at 12 noon doesn’t suit our class schedule, can we watch it back?
Yes. The broadcast will be live on credit union social channels after the event, and available to watch back in your own time.

6. How do we practice?
