The Wonder of Why

The Credit Union School Quiz is back live in 2026 and will follow the same format as past Quizzes.

Quiz Stages

There are three stages to the Credit Union School Quiz 2026, dates below:

Stage 1 (Credit Union Level)	Fri 6th/ Sat 7th /Sun 8th and Monday 9th February 2026
Stage 2 (Chapter Level)	Fri 6th/ Sat 7th and Sun 8th March 2026
Stage 3 (National Final)	Sun 19th April 2026

It is up to your local credit union to pick one of the dates for Stage 1 of the Credit Union level.

*Please note that not all credit unions participate in the Credit Union School Quiz.

Quiz Categories

As with previous School Quizzes, there are two Categories:

Comp A: Under 11 - for entrants aged 10 or younger on 31st December 2025   (Rounds 1 to 10)
Comp B: Under 13 - for entrants aged 12 or younger on 31st December 2025   (Rounds 1 to 12 - two extra rounds)
 

How to Enter

If you are a teacher or a parent, talk to your local credit union then to see if they are participating in the 2026 Credit Union Schools Quiz.

That’s what #WonderofWhy is all about!

We’re inviting kids (and curious adults!) to send in their most imaginative, funny, surprising and downright silly “wonder of why” questions. Big questions, small questions, serious science or pure nonsense — if it makes you stop and wonder, we want to hear it.
